Writing for Young Adults Workshop

Let Shirley-Anne McMillan be your guide as you explore some of the creative strategies for developing strong, confident YA writing in this online workshop. Shirley-Anne not only teaches creative writing and works with LGBT young people, but she has also worked in Integrated Education for over 20 years, and has extensive experience with young people in classroom and workshop situations. She is the author of A Good Hiding, Every Sparrow Falling, The Unknowns, Widows’ Row and Aunt Marie: A Short Story. Shirley-Anne's fourth novel, Grapefruit Moon, will be published in 2023 by Little Island, and deals with class issues, gender and poetry.
